Angelica takes to the small screen as a key member of Dr Christian’s crack team of medical specialists helping those with troubling health problems.
Launching March 22nd on SKY 109 ‘W’ channel at 2100 UK time (also Virgin ch 125 and BT 311), Angelica can be seen helping Jasmin reduce the size of her oversized JJ breasts.
Throughout the plastic surgery genre there has been a switch in attitudes, leading to women seeking more body proportionate changes, and this is most obvious in the area of breast enhancement. In the main, gone are over-large breast enlargements (in my opinion thank goodness!) with women requesting implants that compliment their shape and frame.
This is probably one of several reasons why I am seeing increasing numbers of women seeking breast reduction surgery – along with the physical downside to having large heavy breasts, they also wish for body proportion.
I have seen first hand how breast reduction surgery can transform a woman’s psyche for the better BUT it is major surgery and must be not undertaken lightly. It is also very technical so you must be certain your surgeon is experienced in the procedure.
Issues to consider before seeking breast reduction:
SCARRING – it’s not possible to reduce breasts without leaving scars. These scars should become mush less visible over time but can take up to a year to fully mature. The incision travels around the areola and vertically down to the base of the breast (known as the ‘lollipop’). With extra large breasts, often the cut follows the breast outline up towards the under arm (known as the ‘anchor’). Of course a good plastic surgeon tries to limit the extent of all scarring, but in the quest for a pleasing result, it can be a challenging balance
NIPPLE DESENSITISATION – the nipple needs to be moved during surgery and nerves are sometimes disturbed
NIPPLE NECROSIS – thankfully not a common problem, but moving the nipple can interfere with the tissue blood supply
